About Ray

Ray Melerine is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working to help improve the lives of children, adolescents, and families since 1998.  Ray earned a Master of Arts degree from McNeese State University in Psychology with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling.  In addition to being credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor, he is also credentialed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and as a Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor.  His qualifications combine strong family values with excellent clinical skills that are both child and parent friendly. 

 

Ray has received specialized training in the areas of child and adolescent counseling, family counseling, parenting strategies, group counseling, substance abuse counseling, anger management, mood disorders, ADHD counseling, stress management, and play therapy.   Ray is a past president of The Louisiana Association for Play Therapy and currently serves on their board.  

 

In his personal life, Ray enjoys spending time with his wife and five children.

About Jodi

Jodi Underwood, MA, LPC,LAC, SAP.  Ms. Underwood is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Addiction Counselor, and a Substance Abuse Professional. She specializes in substance abuse / dependence, depression, anxiety reduction, adjustment issues, behavioral issues, and Department of Transportation substance abuse / dependence evaluations. Jodi provides a safe, nonjudgmental and supportive environment to assist her clients in reaching their life goals, overcome hardships and learn skills to cope with daily stressors. She works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are seeking.

About Kim

Kimberly Hebert, MSW, LCSW has specialized training in clinical social work and utilizes a variety of modalities and techniques for therapy that are client-centered and strength-based. In therapy Kim works with her clients as a team to explore and define present problematic situations, develop future goals for life enhancement, and work in a systematic fashion toward the realization of goals.

Additionally, Kim specialize in treating couples issues, ADHD, anger management, substance abuse, trauma, abuse, grief, parenting, co-parenting, step-families, behavior issues, low self esteem, social skills, anxiety, divorce, and mood disorders.

About Lisa

Lisa Brune, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the field. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Master's of Science in Social Work. Lisa works with individuals (children, adolescents, and adults), couples, and families. She has a particular interest in all areas of mental health, as well as working with grief and loss, PTSD, eating disorders, domestic violence, sexual abuse, families, and parenting issues. In addition to providing counseling services, Lisa is also a Certified Mediator, specializing in Family and Divorce Mediation. She believes that as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, her skills and experience help her to be a compassionate, ethical, and effective Mediator.

Lisa also offers a Women's Process and Support Group, Marriage/Relationship Process and Support Group, a Grief Process and Support Group, and a Veteran's Process and Support Group. In her free time, Lisa enjoys working with her two pet therapy dogs.

About Chauntelle

Chauntelle Lejeune is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in Couples Counseling, Family Counseling, Mood and Anxiety disorders, as well as Grief/Trauma for more than 16 years.  Before joining Compass Counseling, Chauntelle spent 16 years working as a therapist and public speaker for Solutions Counseling & EAP.  She has extensive experience in presenting to large and small groups on a wide variety of Risk Management and Wellbeing topics. Chauntelle spent 15 years as an instructor for Successful Partners In Parenting, a divorce co-parenting class.  She was also an instructor for the Love Thinks program, a dating/relationship educational course, through the Diocese of Lake Charles.
